Comparison of reference values for immune recovery between event-free patients receiving haploidentical

Xuying Pei, Xiangyu Zhao, Yu Wang, Lanping Xu, Xiaohui Zhang, Kaiyan Liu, Yingjun Chang, Xiaojun Huang

Frontiers of Medicine 2018, Volume 12, Issue 2,   Pages 153-163 doi: 10.1007/s11684-017-0548-1

Abstract:

To establish optimal reference values for recovered immune cell subsets, we prospectively investigated post-transplant immune reconstitution (IR) in 144 patients who received allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-SCT) and without showing any of the following events: poor graft function, grades II?IV acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), serious chronic GVHD, serious bacterial infection, invasive fungal infection, or relapse or death in the first year after transplantation. IR was rapid in monocytes, intermediate in lymphocytes, CD3+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, and CD19+ B cells, and very slow in CD4+ T cells in the entire patient cohort. Immune recovery was generally faster under HLA-matched sibling donor transplantation than under haploidentical transplantation. Results suggest that patients with an IR comparable to the reference values display superior survival, and the levels of recovery in immune cells need not reach those in healthy donor in the first year after transplantation. We suggest that data from this recipient cohort should be used as reference values for post-transplant immune cell counts in patients receiving HSCT.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2017, Volume 18, Issue 9,   Pages 1268-1276 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1700556

Abstract: is a technique in photography that records the process of light propagation before it reaches a stationary state such that events at the light speed level can be observed. In this review we introduce three main models for with a : correlation model, frequency-domain model, and compressive sensing model. applications usually involve resolving the problem of light transport and separating the light rays arriving along different paths. We discuss two of the applications: imaging objects inside and recovering both the shape and texture of an object around a corner.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 6,   Pages 823-844 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100058

Abstract:

Inspired by the compound eyes of insects, many s have been proposed to improve the imaging quality, e.g., to yield a high-resolution image or an image with a large field-of-view. Previous research has reviewed existing s, but few papers emphasize the which is essential to bridge the gap between configuration design and application. In this paper, we review typical s (i.e., , , and ), and then summarize general mathematical s for different configurations. These mathematical models provide methods for calculating the key indexes of a specific , such as the field-of-view and sub-image overlap ratio. The mathematical tools simplify the quantitative design and evaluation of imaging systems for researchers.

Multi-camera systems for rehabilitation therapies: a study of the precision of MicrosoftKinect sensors

Miguel OLIVER,Francisco MONTERO,José Pascual MOLINA,Pascual GONZÁLEZ,Antonio FERNÁNDEZ-CABALLERO

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 4,   Pages 348-364 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500347

Abstract: This paper seeks to determine how the overlap of several infrared beams affects the tracked position of the user, depending on the angle of incidence of light, distance to the target, distance between sensors, and the number of capture devices used. We also try to show that under ideal conditions using several Kinect sensors increases the precision of the data collected. The results obtained can be used in the design of telerehabilitation environments in which several RGB-D cameras are needed to improve precision or increase the tracking range. A numerical analysis of the results is included and comparisons are made with the results of other studies. Finally, we describe a system that implements intelligent methods for the rehabilitation of patients based on the results of the tests carried out.
